Message From Chairman

Dear Friends, Partners, Supporters, and Well-Wishers,

Assalamu Alaikum.

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of Dristi Protibondhi Unnayan Parisad (DPUP).

Since our establishment in 2002, DPUP has remained committed to promoting the rights, dignity, and full participation of persons with disabilities in Bangladesh. We believe that every individual, regardless of disability, deserves equal opportunities to learn, work, participate, and live with dignity in society.

Over the past two decades, our organization has worked tirelessly to empower persons with disabilities, especially people who are blind, women, children, and other marginalized communities. Through advocacy, education, healthcare, skills development, livelihood support, and community-based inclusive development, we strive to create lasting positive change in the lives of those we serve.

At DPUP, we firmly believe that disability is not inability. When society becomes accessible and inclusive, persons with disabilities can contribute equally to the development of their families, communities, and the nation. Our mission is not only to provide support but also to create opportunities that enable individuals to become self-reliant, confident, and active members of society.

Our achievements have been made possible through the dedication of our Executive Committee, staff members, volunteers, community leaders, government agencies, development partners, donors, and well-wishers who continue to stand beside us. I extend my sincere gratitude to every individual and organization that has contributed to our journey.

As Bangladesh continues to progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), DPUP remains committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities are included in every aspect of national development. We will continue to advocate for equal rights, quality education, accessible healthcare, decent employment, social protection, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and inclusive community development.

We also recognize that meaningful change can only be achieved through collaboration. Therefore, we warmly welcome partnerships with government institutions, development organizations, civil society, academic institutions, corporate partners, and individuals who share our vision of an inclusive and equitable society.

Together, we can remove barriers, challenge discrimination, and create opportunities where every person can reach their full potential.

On behalf of Dristi Protibondhi Unnayan Parisad (DPUP), I sincerely thank you for your interest in our organization and invite you to join us in building a Bangladesh where no one is left behind.

Together, we can make inclusion a reality.

With best wishes,

Mohammad Ruhul Quddus
