A National Disabled People’s Organization (DPO) in Bangladesh

Dristi Protibondhi Unnayan Parisad (DPUP) is a national Disabled People’s Organization (DPO) established in 2002 with the vision of creating an inclusive society where persons with disabilities enjoy equal rights, dignity, opportunities, and full participation in all aspects of life. DPUP works across Bangladesh to empower persons with disabilities—particularly people who are blind, women, and children—through advocacy, capacity building, education, livelihood development, healthcare, and community-based inclusive development.

Registered with both the Department of Social Services and the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh, DPUP has been working for more than two decades to promote disability inclusion, social justice, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.

To build an inclusive society where all people, regardless of disability, gender, religion, race, or social background, enjoy equal rights, dignity, opportunities, and full participation in society.

DPUP envisions a Bangladesh where persons with disabilities become self-reliant, respected, and empowered through equal access to education, employment, healthcare, and social inclusion.
